Since their invention, comics have been a safe place for artists to express their ideas and morals as a means of social intention setting. My goal as a comic book artist is to create stories for the LGBTQ+ community. Representation of LGBTQ+ in comics has improved only recently. LGBTQ+ stories are still being filtered and written by people who do not represent LGBTQ+. I want to write stories that my community can relate to, heroes they can see themselves in, even tales of mediocrity or horror. Stories have the power to inspire us, they have the power to help us cope with troubles internally and externally. I hope I can do that one day for my peers and community as it has been done for me. I am interested in exploring the nuances of horror in my illustrations, including the fun and mischief that can exist in the genre.
